CHIRP is the word!

Does CHIRP support the 32UV?

Programming a channel is shockingly complicated.

Using CHIRP, I first ‘read’ the HT to create a new file. ‘Radio->Download
from radio’

Then open ‘Radio->Query Source’ and create a second file by loading from
RepeaterBook.

Find a Repeater in your area and copy the line into your radio file.

Save with ‘Radio->Upload to radio’
