Howdy, y'all,
We had a great BVARC meeting last week. Nice ice cream social. Rick W5RH had a great slide show on antenna history and such.
I brought out my 1/4 wave ground plane, three 1/2 wave dipoles, a copper water pipe J pole, and a 450 Ohm roll up ladder line J pole. My 'big' antenna is the three element Yagi with a 3/4 J driven element.
I have attached a doc and slide show on building a 1/4 wave ground plane. I would really appreciate anyone who may be able to build from these publications. I am happy for any comments or constructive criticism!
My antenna deployment is a piece of rebar and a section of 1/2" PVC with the 1/4 wave on top. The feed line threads up the inside of the PVC pipe!
