As radio nuts, we deal with radiated waves and Standing Waves (SWR). But
just what are these inherent results of our RF based systems?
Have a look at 2 things:
1) W2WF's new column in the BVARC Beacon July newsletter to come out soon.
Also on the BVARC Tech Pages -- dealing with Hertzian antenna radiation.

and
2) the AT&T demo of their machine, visually showing waves traveling on a
mechanical system (Waves in all systems -- mechanical, electrical and
acoustic act the same)

After reading or watching these references you will hopefully have a better
and more comfortable understanding of the world in which we
radioaficionados travel.
Enjoy your hobby...73....Rick W5RH
