[BVARC] BVARC Activities

Hi all,
    * BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING will be on Thursday, December 1 at 
19:00 at the Fuddrucker's in the Fountains Shopping Center. Take the 
Kirkwood exit off the Southwest Freeway.
    * December General Meeting:  19:30 Thursday December 8 at the 
Imperial Park Recreation Center, 234 Matlage Way, Sugar 
Land.  Program:  Homebrew & Favorite Equipment Night: The December 
meeting is your chance to bring out the projects that you designed, 
built, or modified in 2011 to share with everyone. Following last 
year's theme, non-builders can bring their favorite piece of ham gear 
or accessory to demonstrate (or just talk about). Ham Radio equipment 
and accessories are the main focus, but you can bring any other 
electronic or mechanical gizmo you use in the shack to display.
    * BVARC Annual Banquet:  Friday January 20, 2012.  Please see 
www.bvarc.org or the Newsletter for details and tickets.
    * RAGCHEW net:  The BVARC Rag Chew Net meets on Wednesdays at 7 
on 3910 khz or thereabouts.  All hams are invited to attend.
    * TUESDAYS:  The BVARC Under 15 wpm CW practice net meets on 3550 
khz at 7 PM.  This is a really good place to brush up or enhance your 
code skills.  The people who are regulars to the net have really 
enjoyed it and would like more people to attend.  Rick, the net 
control, and others are very forgiving and patient with the people 
checking in.  The checkins are made up of learners and people who 
enjoy helping the learners.
