Give me a call over the weekend so I can find out more about the antenna
system.

Subject: [BVARC] A Yagi antenna question for the BVARC group

As you might (barely) be able to see in the attached photo, I have a
Yagi antenna mounted about half-way up my 120 foot tower at an off-grid,
off-road site in Alaska. It picks up cell phone signals from Anchorage,
about 40 miles to the south, sends them through my SmoothTalker booster
and into my Blackberry. There is rarely any reception during the
evening or on foggy days. Clear days from mid-morning to early evening
seem to be best for reception. How can I make the reception stronger
and more reliable? Any thoughts and suggestions would be greatly
appreciated. I hope to make changes to this system when I am there next
in March.

Regards, Bryan KF5FJQ
