Hi All,

All club members are invited to attend the BVARC
Board of Directors meeting at Fuddrucker's in the
Fountains shopping center near the intersection
of Hwy. 59 and Kirkwood at 7:00 PM Thursday, December 2.

The BVARC December Membership meeting will be at
the
<http://www.bvarc.org/index.php?page=alt>Eldridge
Park meeting site at 7:30 PM.
Homebrew & Favorite Equipment Night
The December meeting is your chance to bring out
that favorite project that you designed, built,
or just modified in 2010. A twist
has been added this year - non-builders can bring
their favorite piece of ham gear or accessory to
demonstrate (or just talk about). Ham Radio
equipment and accessories is the main focus, but
you can bring any other electronic or mechanical
gizmo you use in the shack to display. If you
have any questions about the BVARC Homebrew night
please contact our VP - Kirk - KK2Z at <mailto:kk2z at arrl.net>kk2z at arrl.net

The BVARC Awards Banquet will be on January 14th,
2011 at the Marriott Hotel in Sugar Land. The
reception starts in the Sugar Land Ballroom Foyer
at 6PM with hor d’ourves and cash bar. The
Italian Extravaganza Dinner is served, buffet
style, at 6:45. The keynote speaker, Dr. Siebert,
speaks at 7:30, after which we’ll have our BVARC
awards and a Year in Review slide show. Tickets
for the event are $25 for members and their
guest. They are available for purchase on the
BVARC web site by credit card or by check. Note
that tickets will be on sale only until January
9th. If you have any questions about the banquet,
contact Rick, W5RH, BVARC’s club president. For
tickets, menu, and other information,
<http://bvarc.org/index.php?page=banquet>click
here. The banquet this year is a step up from
normal. It will be an actual reception and
banquet with the fantastic addition of a keynote
speaker – Dr. Jim Siebert, KC5TIN, head of the Channel 26 Weather.
It’ll be a great time, so don’t miss it. See you there.

BVARC Reflector:
Members are reminded that the club reflector (see
the BVARC website: http://www.bvarc.org "BVARC
Listserver") is available for information related
to ham radio and the club. More than one-third
of the members belong at this time. You are
strongly encouraged to join the group so that you
can see the info being passed. (Note: When you
join, be careful to remember the return address
you use since that address must be used to send messages to the reflector.)

73,

Cam, k5cam
